Small print
- Guests are responsible for their own belongings and safety whilst using the cottage.
- Taking out holiday insurance is recommended.
- The cottage is no smoking/no e smoking/no candles and should be left clean and tidy on departure.
- Please do not leave your dog/s alone in the cottage for long periods. If you do pop out and leave them please make sure the baby gate at the bottom of the stairs is closed and leave the downstairs doors open to avoid scratched doors.
- Guests will be asked to pay for any loss or damage (reasonable wear and tear excluded).
- If for any reason the property is not available on the date booked, all payments will be refunded and guests have no further claim on ourselves
- £100 Deposit is required to secure a booking and full payment of your holiday is due 8 weeks before arrival. There is an additional £100 security deposit taken for Lobster Pot which will be refunded in full once the cottage is checked and there is no damage or issues.
- If guests need to cancel a booking they should notify us as soon as possible. Prior to 8 week before the holiday is due to be taken cancellation will result in the deposit being retained, if the cancellation is within 8 weeks of the holiday the full balance of the holiday will be retained- holiday insurance is therefore recommended but before buying insurance please check your current account as this often includes holiday insurance.
- If you do not book direct with us and book through TripAdvisor/Airbnb their cancellation terms may differ, please check your agreement with them.
- Very, very occasionally, we may need access to the cottage or garden for maintenance- this would be rare and would be with prior arrangement with guests.
- Wifi and TV signal is not normally a problem but it cannot be guaranteed.
Privacy statement
We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our guests and here we explain how we will handle your personal data. We explain why we collect it, what we will do with it and how long we will keep it.
Why we collect your data: When you book with us we collect some personal data as we have a legitimate interest in these details under Article 6(b) of the GDPR 2018 in order to effectively administrate for your holiday.
What we will do with your data: We use your data in order that we can contact you in respect of your holiday. We will not share your data with any third parties and we will not send you marketing emails without your express consent which you may retract at any point by emailing yvonne.schofield@sky.com
How long we will keep your data: For the purposes of demonstrating to the UK tax authorities the legitimacy of our bookings and income, we will store your data for seven years and it will be deleted at the beginning of the eighth tax year from your stay with us
You are entitled at any time to request to see a copy of all the data held on you. If you wish to see this please email us at yvonne.schofield@sky.com. If you are not satisfied or believe that we are processing our data illegally, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: www.ico.org.uk
